We just launched our shared contacts application on Google App Engine (Java)!
This small but powerful application lets you share Google contacts with other Google users.
This is extremely helpful if you are using Google Apps to run your business and you want to share contacts with all your employees.
Up to now you had to upgrade to Google Apps Premier Edition to get sort of shared contacts. But these shared contacts had to be added by using the shared contacts API. And there is still no way to edit these shared contacts in the Google contact manager.
Our application takes a totally different approach: Once you create an address book you'll get two new groups in your contact manager. One group containing the shared contacts and the other group lets you mark existing contacts to be shared with other subscribers of the address book.

I followed the youtube instructions, and included subscriptions.floreysoft@googlemail.com as a developer on Friday.
It is still pending, and I haven't received an email. Am I doing something wrong?
Whats the difference between each version and how do we purchase them ?
This is a great product. Obviously a temporary workaround until Google wakes up and offers this service, but this is so convenient for small businesses. Also, I spoke to Daniel and he was very customer friendly.
For those who don't know, he confirmed that floreysoft will NOT be able to access your shared contacts as they are stored on Google's infrastructure. This is something that I believe should be advertised more.
Now if you really are paranoid about your data then you can delete the developer account you created for installing the software, they don't need it after installation is complete. But then, hey, if you're paranoid about your data, you probably don't want it on 'the cloud' anyway!
Looks like a great tool that has provided the missing link to our google apps migration!
I use the same email address for my Google Account (created for Google Voice) as my Google Apps account. When I attempt to add the Google Account as a subscriber to the address book I've created, the shared contacts application think that I'm trying to add my Google Apps account, rather than my Google Account. Is there any way to work around this?
I have tried to email and call, but no-one is picking up and my emails keep bouncing (something about a 550 relay error), so I am going to ask here.
In Exchange, we have a 'public contacts' list which is viewable as a separate entity from 'private contacts'.
My question is this: Is it possible to add contact lists to Outlook Contacts (for PC) and Apple Address Book (for Mac) that is editable through both ends (ie. computer and web). so if a phone number of emails is changed, it will automatically update on all accounts connected to this address book list regardless of what OS and software they are using (if set up properly of course).
I complete the setup using a gmail account. Invitations to subscribers at my own google apps domain (user@example.com) are received but the link on the email leads to a login page that only permits gmail accounts, thus there is no way for user@example.com to complete the subscription process.
What am I missing?
I need some desperate help with this. I had installed sharedcontacts before and wanted to start over. Now, when I arrive at the subscription page (http://floreysoftsubscriptions.appspot.com/subscriptions/index.html), I see the Application Identifier, but it is the one I deleted. How do I remove this and start fresh?
(If it helps, I am a paying customer on another domain and trying to set this up on my personal. PLEASE HELP.)

OK so where do we go for support?
I have three shared folders. The one shares all 364 contacts. The other two only share about 1/3 of their contacts?
any ideas?
Do you have a support page? I signed up and installed the app, but when I try to click the "Create" button to create a new shared address book, nothing happens. Please help.

If you purchased google apps does this come free or do you still have to pay separate for it?
We need support badly.
After browsing through several solution, I decided our company would use SharedContacts and I do not regret it. It is the ONLY application that allows to not only use Google Apps Free but also regular Gmail! And this was sort of mandatory for us.
Icing on the cake, Daniel replies very fast and is also ready to take command with TeamViewer.
Great product, great support : two thumbs up!
